With Pun and Big L gone, the rest got squashed with Piggybank. We all miss Jada and recognize the efforts Styles has been putting forth thou. 212? Deepset? Pleeeease! The Gorilla Unit gave those cats some life giving birth to that beef, but all jokes aside, what dude wears pink? QB? LL’s sitting (although not quietly) on the deafest jam around. Havoc may have gained some popularity as a MC, but even 50 cent said before he signed MD “I’ll do your little ass like Jay did Mobb Deep”. Wu is the one phenomenon keeping that Stale Island, I mean Staten Island on the map. Except for Mef (who is also on Jay’s label), Ghost and Rae, the rest of that crew is (unfortunately) on the background of the spectacle.
From the conscious raps of Mos Def to the underground legacy of Talib to the undying marvel of BIG to even the pop culture of Puffy’s raps, it all comes from BK’s 718.
One of the others marvels of Brooklyn’s Hip Hop is the supergroup Boot Camp Click. Buckshot’s Duck Down Records gave birth to “the brokest rapper you know”. Is he broke ‘cause he want to be? Can be? Is? Yes, yes and yes. But we are not talking about the actual balance in his account. We are talking about the very mindset that got this exceptional street rhymer to spread his booming voice all over.

Sean Price the man, the rapper, the institution, rocked stages all over the world, dealt and even abused drugs a little and found himself once again with the turn of the millennium. The Chosen Few with BCC was just the beginning of his comeback. Solo Monkey Barz in ’05, The Last Stand with BCC in ’06 and now another solo – Jesus Price Supastar, which just came out at the end of January of ’07.
His flow is commanding, his rhymes are soul bending, his beats never-ending, his presence observed. Open up the gates real wide, this man is not knocking on your door, he’s walking right in. Repping for the streets of BK the way Styles does in the BX, he got some choice words for you. The themes in his songs are the kind any Hip Hop lover can understand. The fire in his eyes carries his past, his present and his future. His gigantic built dominates every stage he’s ever graced. His loyalty and faith in his family and his fans is what pushes him.
