About Knitting Factory
The intimacy of this downtown joint is worthy of a visit. It may be out of the way but they got everything a music fan needs: cheap tickets, a variety of artists performing and a maze of levels and rooms filled with different music. Just in the past few months, performers there ranged from GZA to Boot Camp Click, from Large Professor to Brand Nubian, from DJ Premier to Slick Rick. Combining rock music with Hip Hop, Knitting Factory is open for business and entertains all. So, unless the Hip Hop police shot a show down (yeah, Papoose got cancelled) you’re in for a real treat. Underground Hip Hop finds a commercial performing venue here and unless you just don’t know… Well, you get the point.
