J-Ronin
Born and raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn, J-Ronin made his name as a mixtape DJ, but he wears a lot of hats in this game. He came in working with Wu-Tang, officially repping as a Wu DJ, doing shows and spinning for both the solo members and the Clan. He’s also part of the Lo Lifes and works closely with Thirstin Howl III.
Ronin manages underground legend Jamel Rocwell aka Sav Killz, as well as rising emcee Frank Knight. He’s the founder of the All Elements Crew, an international Hip Hop movement with chapters all over the world. As CEO and label owner of All Elements Music Group, Ronin has been an A&R, manager, DJ, audio engineer, executive producer, and a heavy hitter in promotions and marketing. He’s been setting up shows for years, building an email list over 30K deep, and leveraging connections with DJs and blogs to break new music, videos, and events.
When you think of Ronin, you think of the All Elements mixtapes. The reason they were so respected is the work behind them — artists from across the globe spitting on posse cuts and freestyles, packed with exclusives from today’s hottest names and hip-hop pioneers. Past hosts have included M.O.P., Jadakiss, Joell Ortiz, Saigon, Maino, Smif-N-Wessun, Ras Kass, Skyzoo, Killah Priest, and Planet Asia. Ronin’s been nominated for four Justo Mixtape Awards, including Rookie of the Year, Best New DJ, and Underground DJ of the Year, plus an Underground Music Award for Best DJ. All Elements has been featured in The Source (7 times), Ozone, Stash, Foundation, Hip-Hop Connection (UK), Hip-Hop Nation (Spain), Juice (Germany), and more. Tracks and downloads from Ronin have been posted on all the major hip-hop sites, from AllHipHop to HipHopDX, HipHopGame, NahRight, OnSmash, XXL, and beyond.
Beyond the mixtapes, J-Ronin has DJ’d parties and shows all over the U.S. and Europe, from SOB’s to BB King’s, Rocksteady Anniversary, Art Basel in Miami, A3C in Atlanta, Toca Tuesdays with Tony Touch, Livin’ Proof in London, and much more.
He’s also had several versions of his own radio show. The All Elements Mix Show currently runs on Delicious Vinyl Radio via Dash Radio, and in the past has been on Wu-Tang Radio, Mix1620, ThatsHipHop.com, and others. Ronin was the main DJ on RS Radio, broadcasting on multiple platforms. Known for landing interviews with legends and catching artists before they blow, he was the first to do an in-depth interview with Westside Gunn of Griselda. His shows are known for deep interviews, freestyle ciphers, and exclusives.
Most recently, he launched The J-Ronin Podcast, which after only a few episodes has already built a strong fanbase.
