Manhattan Center Studios

Manhattan Center Studios

The Manhattan Center Studios may not have the name recognition everyone expects. Yet, when people hear The Hammerstein Ballroom, it all becomes clear. One of the oldest performing arts venues in this country, Manhattan Center Studios has been the place for music for over 100 years. As silly as it may be to even list the performances throughout that time, when it comes to urban music, they got it locked. Home to the VH1 Hip Hop Honors for several years, to Hot 97’s Full Frontal Hip Hop and many more they have made their stage available to everyone from Aaliyah to Missy Elliot, from Common to Ludacriss. Decades of history ensure that no other place in this city will ever be able to reach Manhattan Center Studios’ magnitude.

Originally built as the Manhattan Opera House in 1906 by Oscar Hammerstein I, the Manhattan Center boasts a rich history of entertainment and corporate and cultural special events. Now, more than 100 years later, the building still serves the metro New York area with two unique event spaces – the Hammerstein and The Grand Ballrooms. The flexibility of these rooms, along with their connection to in-house recording studios and television studios, allows clients to transform the rooms to suit any style of event, ranging from corporate events to rock concerts, trade shows to television shoots, fashion shows to product launches.
